CARLA (dance team director)

Carla has been teaching jazz and hip hop dance classes in the Capitol District since 2000. She graduated from Russell Sage College with her BS/MS in Physical Therapy. While at Sage, she was a founding member and later the artistic director for the Sage Dance Ensemble. Over the last 7 years, she has taught for several studios including RPI Student Dance Club, EBA and Young Actor's Guild of RPI. Jamz 96.3 and ABC Sports and Fitness had her start a Hip Hop Aerobics class that has been running since 2002. CDPHP has featured this class as part of their wellness program. Carla has coached for the AFL Albany Conquest Treasures for the '03, '04, and '05 seasons. Carla works full time for Weston Paxxon Health Care Services as a Physical Therapist for The Atria at both Shaker and Crossgates locations. She is excited to be coaching the Albany Patroons Emeralds in their second season in the newly renovated Armory.

DANIELA

Daniela was born and raised in Venezuela and has been dancing since she was 6 years old. She has danced with the Albany Berkshire Ballet, and is currently involved with the Diamonds dance group. She has also been attending the EBA School of Dance and Wellness Center. She is currently working on her bachelors Degree in Psychology and Sociology and enjoys acting on the side. Daniela loves being a part of the Emeralds Dance Team and is thrilled to be given the opportunity to perform and meet new people.

JAMIE

Jamie started dancing at the age of 3 at Ferrara's Dance Studio. While there, she studied tap, jazz, and ballet. Jamie went to Ithaca College and graduated with a BS in Television Radio and minors in Dance and Psychology. She was also a part of the Ithaca College Unbound Dance Company. Professionally, Jamie has danced for the Albany Conquest and the Albany Metro Mallers. One of her greatest dance moments was taking classes by Wade Robson. Jamie enjoys watching basketball and is very excited to be dancing for the Albany Emeralds.

JAMIE

Jamie is a college student and will be graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders this May. Upon completing her education she hopes to have a career as a speech-language pathologist in a clinical setting. This is Jamie's first experience performing dance. She is enjoying being an Emerald dancer and looks forward to the rest of the season.

JENNIE

Jennie is thrilled to be dancing for the Albany Emeralds dance team for the Patroons's second season back to the Capital Region. She has recently performed for two action packed seasons with the Albany Conquest. Along with a dancing minor at Springfield College, she earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Animation. She is currently the Lead Designer at NTP Media in Latham, where she creatively designs trade magazines for various industries. Other than working and dancing, Jennie's very interesting life also includes working out at the gym every day, shopping, and anything else that will amuse her in her free time. Even though she rocks out to hip-hop music on the dance floor, she is a true rocker at heart. Along with Guns 'N Roses, she is also obsessed with Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and many other rock bands.

JENNIFER

Jennifer is proud to be part of the Emeralds Dance team and the Albany Patroons organization. Jennifer has enjoyed dancing since the age of 3 and studied tap, jazz, and hip hop at the Ferrara Dance studio. She also was a cheerleader throughout her 4 years of high school. Jennifer currently is a student at Sage College of Albany where she is pursuing a degree in Business Administration. Jennifer's goal is to become a Pharmaceutical sales representative. She enjoyes spending time with her family and friends and great times at the Jersey Shore. Jennifer looks forword to a great season with the Emeralds and the Albany Patroons.

KATHLEEN

This is Kathleen's first year dancing for the Emeralds. She is very excited to be dancing with a group of great girls. She is currently working for a small company in downtown Albany. Kathleen also worked for the Albany Conquest promotional team for the past 3 seasons. She was a cheerleader throughout her 4 years of high school and loves performing, especially in front of the Patroons' fans and players.

SANDRA

Sandra is very excited for her second season with the Emeralds dance team! She has been on several dance teams, including the Adirondack Wildcats and the University at Albany's dance team. Sandra is also very involved in cheerleading, as she currently coaches the varsity cheerleaders in the school district that she works in as a special education teacher. Not only is Sandra looking forward to dancing with the Emeralds again, she is very eager to participate in the fun, charitable activities the team does within the Capital District community.

SARAH

Sarah is proud to be a new member of the Emeralds Dance Team. She began dancing ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical at the age of 7, and trained with Theresa's School of dance, Sueann's School of Dance, and Tap to Toe Studio in Northern New York. Currently in her fifth year of pharmacy school, Sarah plans on moving to New York City and specializing in oncology after graduation in 2008.

SARAH

Sarah currently works in Accounting and is the Industrial Gas Buyer for a small company in downtown Albany. She has been dancing her whole life and absolutely loves it. Sarah studied ballet for 13 years, and then cheered and competed with SUNY Albany's dance team in college. Being a part of the Emeralds means a lot to her and is an experience she will never forget.

TRISTINA

Tristina is thrilled to be back in her second season with the Albany Emeralds. She has been a dancer for about 10 years and has studied jazz, hip-hop, ballet, pointe, and tap. She is currently in Graduate school pursuing a Master's degree and works for the State of New York.
